Welcome back everyone!
What a great first week we have had. The new year one children have risen to the challenges of their new position brilliantly and reception and nursery have settled in to life at school exceptionally well.
Our topic this half term is "This is Me". We will be focusing on developing a positive sense of self and learning about our homes and family lives as well as our likes and dislikes, our senses and how we like to learn.
Reading books have now been issued as well as some phonics support materials for nursery and reception children. If you would like any advice or support in teaching reading at home please do not hesitate to get in touch and arrange a socially distanced catch up. You can do this by calling the school office.
Below you will find the topic plans for this half term. Please look out for messages through Miss G's faceboook page and on class dojo regarding the learning we are doing in class and how you can support your child.
I cant express how happy I am to be back at school and how wonderful it is to welcome you all back. Stay safe and happy and thank you for your support as always.

Carne Class - Nursery 1 and 2, Reception and Year 1
In Carne Class we use the EYFS curriculum and the National Curriculum. Children learn through guided sessions, play and practical based activities. Not only do activities focus on academic abilities, but also on social and emotional aspects, supporting the child as a whole.
Take a look at the New Cornwall RE syllabus; Cornwall Kernewek . We will be teaching using this syllabus when we return to school but you might like to try out some of the lovely activities that are available . You can find KS1 by following this link http://www.curriculumkernewek.org.uk/ks1/index.php
anf then just click on the topic that interests you for activities and information.
Below you will find resources for our first week of the summer term. Enjoy, have fun and just ask if you're unsure. The topic web gives an overview of activities. There are also some additional resources to support learning within the topic such as PowerPoint shows and YouTube links. If you need anything printing I will be able to do this on Tuesday and arrange with you a pick up time from school.
Welcome to Week 2 of the summer term. Please find below all the resources for our topic on Journeys this week.
