  • About us

    We’re proud to be a small, nurturing school where children grow in confidence, develop key skills, and build strong, positive relationships. Our engaging curriculum is designed to inspire every child and support their individual learning needs, helping them reach their full potential.

    We celebrate progress in all areas—academic and personal—and encourage children to contribute to both our school and the wider community.

    Though our site is compact, we make full use of our beautiful surroundings. We use the Veryan Village Hall for PE and performances, and our own off-site field for outdoor learning and Wild Tribe sessions. This space continues to grow, with children planting trees and helping shape future learning opportunities.

    Our School Christian Values are:
    • Compassion
    • Wisdom
    • Perseverance.

    In addition, our Christian vision is "Supporting one another in learning and life." As a school, we communicate our Christian character through the parable of the Good Samaritan. Our school hymn is "When I needed a neighbour." Which helps remind us of our Christian distinctiveness and our purpose. We encourage our children, staff, and volunteers to demonstrate our values every day in their learning, behaviour and attitudes both in and outside of school.

    Our team & current class structure

    Our school has two main classrooms, two smaller classroom spaces and a library space to use when required.

    We have 2 classes;

    Carne Class taught by the Headteacher Caroline Jarrett
    (Nursery, Reception, Years 1 & 2.)

    Kiberick Class taught by Emeline Goodall
    (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6.)

    Our support staff team are deployed across the school to maximise learning opportunities during key lessons for each class.
