We teach two mixed-age classes using a carefully planned four-year rolling programme. This ensures all children cover the full national curriculum during their time in each class, no matter their age.

We use trusted resources like Read Write Inc. for phonics and White Rose Maths to support high-quality teaching. Wherever possible, we bring learning to life through real experiences—because children learn best when they’re engaged and enjoying themselves.

Alongside subject knowledge, we also focus on developing key skills. While children in the same class may learn the same topics, older pupils apply their learning in more advanced ways. For example, when studying the Romans, a younger child might describe how daily life changed, while an older child might compare different sources to explore varied perspectives.
