PE at Veryan

We aim to offer sporting opportunities to our children at Veryan School to develop life-long skills and confidence in physical education. Our curriculum focuses on skill-based activities and we are lucky enough to have a specialist PE teacher who supports the delivery of our PE lessons once a week in addition to other PE sessions undertaken by our class teachers.

We offer a wide range of after-school clubs for the children including Bikeability, ball skills, yoga, High Impact Training, movement, and dance. We have close links with our feeder school at The Roseland Academy and take part in the many organised festivals and tournaments at the Academy alongside other local schools and schools within our MAT.  We regularly work in partnership with Plymouth Argyle to deliver football training, with PA-trained coaches, and have previously organised bowling for several of our year groups in conjunction with Veryan Bowling Centre.

At various points throughout the year we are able to offer sailing at Percuil Paddle and Sail, swimming, and Bikeability cycling proficiency in addition to our usual PE lessons.
