About our Trust

At The Rainbow Multi Academy Trust our mission is to give all of our children the very best possible start in life so that they can succeed in the best universities, workplaces and communities.

Established in 2014 with 4 primary academies in the Camborne area, our Trust has grown in strength and numbers and now brings together a family of 11 primary schools within mid and west Cornwall: Bishop Bronescombe C of E, Grampound with Creed C of E, Grampound Road C of E, Ladock C of E, Penponds, St Ives Infant, St Meriadoc CE Infant, St Meriadoc CE Junior, St Michael's C of E, Troon Community and Veryan C of E Schools.

The Trust provides school improvement opportunities, financial stability and a strong network of schools delivering high-quality education to nearly 2000 pupils.

We share the same values and family traits, but we don’t try to be identical. Our Heads lead our schools reflecting the needs of our communities. These are underpinned by our core mission and beliefs and we believe that we can build a brighter future together.

The Rainbow Multi-Academy Trust aims to build a brighter future for all. It puts children first, looking to provide them with a truly outstanding, inspirational and inclusive world-class education.

Our Primary schools are a mixture of community and Church Schools and we work together closely to support, challenge and inspire each other to improve the learning for the pupils in our learning community.

Our Trust Values

Ambitious- always have high expectations and aspirations for everyone; learning from the best and having an optimistic outlook

Empowering- believing and investing in our people; developing talent and potential; celebrating diversity and individuality: working collaboratively and celebrating achievement

Ethical- doing what is right and challenging what is wrong; showing kindness and compassion; promoting wellbeing and sustainability

We are respectful of the identity and character of individual academies and of a school’s strengths, as well as understanding where it needs to make improvements.

We are resourceful in that we do whatever it takes and mobilise the support needed to bring about improvement.
We are responsive to the context of each academy and its particular needs and adapt our strategies as circumstances change.
We are relentless in our pursuit of improvement and adopt a ‘no excuses’ approach – believing that every child can achieve.
We are resilient in persevering with improvement despite challenges and setbacks.
